"I was following the pack all swallowed in their coats..."
Which is to say, I have switched to Firefox after years and years of accessing the internet with... something else.
My God... it's soooo fast...
I've already got AdBlock going and it's working nicely. Are there any other Add-Ons anyone can reccomend?

Others I use:

Foxmarks bookmarks synchronizer, also available for IE so you can syc between the two.
Gmail Manager, if you have multiple gmail accounts.
PDF download, to get rid of the bloatware known as Adobe Reader.
Update Notifier, to let you know when updates to your extensions and themes are available.
Tab Mix Plus. Just for more confusion.
Distrust, to remove surfing trails if you so desire.
Plain Text To Link allows you to highlight an address and open it in a new window or new tab.
Flashblock, if you wish to turn on/off annoying flash on selected sites.
There are probably a few more, but I've switched to Windows 7 Beta on this computer. I'm not on my xp machine where all of my best addons reside.
Have you tried any other themes besides the stock FF theme? Mostly Crystal 301 works well to dress up the icons and menus. Others do too.

Fire Fox eliminates those annoying error pop-ups

But it has it's own annoying features like demanding I install plug ins when I go to a new site

RE: Foxie

Thank you. So far I seem to be doing OK with AdBlock, NoScript (confusing at first but good once you check the "allow bookmarked sites" option), and Colorful Tabs (which I'm reconsidering given that it doesn't play nice with alternate themes).
