CNN : Feds Suspend First Amendment Rights in the Gulf

No oil here in Florida. Nope, none at all. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Check out these videos paid for by the local government officials in Fort Myers, Florida partly from the money BP gave them.  They are meant to encourage tourism.  Not your typical travel videos, they were done on the fly in the last few days and might give you a smile or two:

PS:  It is possible that gulf state politicians (and Obama?) want the negative press coverage to stop in the Louisiana area.  Oiled up birds are not good for business.  Both the tourism business and the oil business.

PPS:  Maybe CNN should spend more time investigating the back stage maneuvering and give us fewer pictures of oiled up birds we have all seen dozens of times already.

BP now has a Youtube channel they are promoting...

...pretty heavily I might add, their ads for the channel are all over the place.  I haven't visited the channel and really don't want to.  I don't want to get in the negative arguements that most likely will be their, and I'm not looking forward to their propaganda.  Well, maybe it'll make me less angry about it if I visit the channel and see what they have to say, but I'm not sure if I want to.

I noticed that Admirable of the Fleet Allen

has stopped wearing his ribbons. Does anyone know why he's got that colorful thread on his uniform? I wasn't aware that the Goat Guard was launching any missions recently.

I've forgotten the name of the CNN clown in the video, but he'd do more for America's supposed and much-vaulted first amendment rights if he were broadcasting from a jail cell whilst CNN's corporate whore lawyers tried to get him out. The lamestream, thank goodness, will now have an excuse to move on to much more meaningful news coverage of the illiterate Sarah Palin's chances in 2012. Judging by the success of George W., I'd say she has a pretty good chance.
