I'm glad the right-wing assholes on this site aren't here right now...

If they were here, they'd say all sorts of nasty stuff about Obama getting inaugurated and about what happened to Ted Kennedy (I remember the kind of shit they were saying when he was first hospitalized).  It's nice to feel happy about Obama becoming President and worried about Kennedy's health without having people attacking "dumb liberals" all the time...

(I'm not talking about all the conservatives here, just the loud-mouth asshole ones who seem to have gotten scarce ever since the site change...)

Well at least this new president can talk

I'm no hopemonger and I'd be the last to say everything is going to be rosey. But we have suffered enough these pass eight years it's time for a little happiness. OH WHAT AM I SAYING?!?! Sorry, I lost my head for a moment there...

I sympathize with your frustration

He should have gotten a lot more things done. After all, he's been in office nearly a whole day.

Weird to see the righties freakin' out.  Palin? Change?  Whaaaat?

ps here's what I wrote to the WSJ today re: Karl Rove's bullshit piece.

I can understand Mr. Rove's frustration with Barack Obama's inauguration
speech.  It must have been awkward for him to see a sitting president
blatantly disregarding even the most basic tenets of The Rove Plan.  Who is
this "we" Obama keeps talking about anyhow?

Weirder still, Rove was forced to retool The Facts for posterity yet again.
It is as though his efforts over last 8 years were not sufficient to
placate the collective understanding of the citizenry at all.
Strange days, indeed!

Popularity poll 79% and 2 million fans came to his inauguration

No wonder the Right is freaking out

It's funny, billions of people around the world rejoiced...

TMundo's picture

...when Obama got elected.  A complete 180 degree turn around from their previous attitude towards Bush, and people still don't get it.  The entire world is wrong, and 37% of americans are right and know better than all of them?  Meanwhile the economy is in shambles, we're at war with the wrong country, and we didn't even finish up with the country we were initially focused on.

Okay, that settles it:

TMundo for President!

HS

I'd vote for him

FearlessFreep's picture

He'd be sensible enough to get some uncontroversial preacher to deliver his inaugural invocation.

Sounds fine to me...

TMundo's picture

...is there even a need for a preacher?  It's not a church service.  I suppose a blessing or prayer wouldn't hurt.  But yeah, no controversial figures please.

Don't put all your 'righties' in the same bag thank you

Sarah Palin horrifies nearly as many on the right as on the left methinks.  Isn't it time someone caps her 15 minutes?

It almost sounds as though MissyBussy is repeating 8 second sounds bites?

Speaking of though, it's almost amusing to hear Captain Limburger advocating his hope that Obama fails; does that mean he's no longer supporting our troops as well?

Hoping Obama fails?

What a dumbass stance to take. The Republicans better at least appear to be cooperating with president and helping the situation or they'll never be elected to another office. Although blocking this president will make them a hero to some anyone with half a brain would see what they're doing as nonproductive.

I'm just quoting

gamerarocks's picture

I agree, the Republicans in what passes for our Congress need to grasp the concept that playing partisan-biased politics won't (I freaking hope) work anymore.  I honestly believe that Obama can make inroads to reintroducing this country to bi-partisanship.  Not every issue is black-and-white (forgive the unintended unfunny pun) and within the grey areas there is common ground we can work with.

Impeach Jim Gibbons!

Yeah, I know it was Rush that said it

The reason I've been listening to Rush Limbaugh since Obama won is because I want to be able to someday tell people,

"Oh yeah, I was listening to Limbaugh the day his head exploded."

^^^ If only that would happen

Rajah's picture

But it wouldn't make much of a mess considering the amount of brains he has left. Speaking of heads exploding where's X-Man?

People listen to Rush because he says things like that...

TMundo's picture

...or rather, they don't listen to him, he gets their attention, as I always say, he is a radio troll.  See how many people will take a bite.  The only difference between him and an internet troll is that he makes money at it.

I see....

Is this all that liberal tolerance and open mindedness I keep hearing so much about? Sounds more like hate filled ranting to me. Yeeesh, and they complain about the neo-cons. The neo-libs just seem so mean spirited these days. Can't people disagree without a person without invoking bloody imagery of that person's gruesome demise?

interesting point

TMundo's picture

however, I might say that that is the type of anger Rush L. invokes when he says the things he says.  Have you ever seen the people confront him on his show?  They are genuinely pissed off.

That's probably what he wants, a reaction.

The best thing to do with Rush is to ignore him.

Moi? A hater?

Coaster's picture

This all goes back to what Jon Stewart said about the Crossfire punks.  He told them what they were doing was "hurting America."  Hannity, Limbaugh, Boortz, Savage, Coulter, Beck, and Ingraham on the right; and Rhodes and what's left of Air America on the left make their stock in trade in keeping America divided.  Rush is the most popular among the mouths on Hate Radio, and he makes a nice target because he's both louder and more fact adverse than the rest.

You want some balance?  Here ya go...

I don't listen to Limbaugh because he's a loudmouth provocateur/asshole. I don't listen to Randy Rhodes for the same reason. Though unlike Rush, she does use them fact thingees rather than just making shit up as she goes.

 Oh hell, I tried.

Right wing talk radio, as does what is left of Air America, seems to trade on the hatred felt by those in the political extremes, of which I'm not a part.

I hope that you're keenly aware by now that hating all things Bush is now a bi-partisan exercise.

Wanna feel the love?  Tune in to Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.

A little constructive criticism, JohnFx:

Please.

Open minded?!?!?!  About RUSH LIMBAUGH????  AHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHAAAA!

Live by the sword, etc etc...

Rush actually got on the air and said that all of our current problems (war, economy, aliens, etc.) "is 100% the fault of the Democrats."  How can you even LOOK at someone like that without laughing, much less "tolerate" his "opinion"?  Not that he really beieves a word of what he's saying, mind you...

I use the same handle on THE HUFFINGTON POST

So some people think I'm a right-wing freeper instead of a leftie!
