S. Darko
Anyone else have a chance to watch it yet? It pales in comparison to the original, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting; it makes even less sense, and unlike its predecessor, neither the characters nor plot inspired me to rewatch it and try to piece it together, but what the hell...for a direct-to-video, it's got some great imagery, oddly effective moments AND A TESSERACT!
(Spoilers) This movie does succumb to the formula of horror sequels; everything is ramped up. This is like the Crank 2: High Voltage of indie sci-fi flicks. Instead of one person time-traveling, it seems like the whole fucking cast is in some kind of temporal flux.
