i don't get it. the first astronaut dies and there's no cloudy squid poking into the eyes of any of the many people staring at him when he dies. But when Jillian zaps Spencer she gets possesed immediately.why didn't she get killed anyway? she was, after all sitting on a metal bar stool. this movie is another of hollywood's attempts to insult the normal human being's intelligence. Charlize's acting quite honestly was brilliant. Jonny on the otherhand.....nuff said. we are never introduced to the real spencer so it is rather hard for the audience to notice any changes in him after his little encouter with aliens. the plot of the story zaps from one topic to the next. first the whole thing seems to focus on the phychological aspect of a NDE. Then we go to the alien posession thing. we are then lured into believing that jill will go raving mad again when she admits to having had a nervous breakdown when her parents croaked. after that it seems that the whole thing will sway towards spencer trying to prove that his honey is a frikking loon. then we focus on the "OH MY GOD-what the hell is inside me and how do i get rid of it." after about 30 minutes you know already how it will all end. so big yawn. what the hell was the movie's intention? to lure us into believing or even contemplating that aliens are already amongst us? or just to be EXTRA suspicious around twins with ear phones? but the movie did teach a lovely little lesson. when about to be electrecuted, don't worry just hang onto the nearest metal rod. whatever....gotta go puke.
