RUmor has it, he stayed up all night writing the speech, and gave it against the advice of his staff. He knows when things need to be addressed, and knows how to address them in the right way - with courage, understanding, and trust and respect for his audience. He is very much a leader, and presidential material.

Anyone who disagrees simply isn't listening.
