So all of that was panicky investors worried about supply when in reality the demand had fallen off as more and more people were conserving to avoid having to pay $3.50+ per gallon. It's nice to know that when supply really does drop in 10 years or so those same investors will be willing to pay thousands of dollars for oil. Too bad no one will pay $200.00 for a gallon of gas.
