I am ashamed to admit that I saw this movie on it's opening day in my town. I was not aware of all the harm this film would do; now that I know, I am sickened and saddened that a film studio I've idolized from my childhood would have any part in such a horrible deed. I can only hope that, were he still alive, Walt Disney would never have allowed that movie to be made. Now I wonder if all my Disney animal loves over the years: Greyfriars' Bobby, That Darn Cat, Old Yeller, etc., were mistreated, too, or spawned a generation of throw-away look-alike pets...I hope as many people as possible boycott this film. And lastly...Glenn Close and the wife of Lord Laurence Olivier and the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave...shame on you all. Did you really need the money?!
