I think Mr.Idle's cheeky performance as Mr. Waddlesworth was wonderful. Children love that parrot who think he's a dog and they know that parrots do not form entirely complex sentences. I do not think Mr. Cranky should worry about children buying parrots and flushing them down the loo, but he should be more concerned about children getting dalmatians and becoming bored with them and putting them in animal control when they are no longer cute and little.
