Overall I liked the movie. Why all my friends out there that are bashing this movie. One word say it with me now. "SATIRE" Yes it is cliche. Why because it's a satirical comedy "yes loosely based on shakesphere" and "modernized" into teen drama. But it's still satire. And yes to all you who can't believe pretty girls aren't allowed to date. In high school I had a secret girlfriend because she wasn't allowed to date. We had to date through a club at school because school activities didn't count as dates. Anyway the whole comercialism, the clics, the pot smoking, won't say anything about seeing a female student's tits teachers. All of it is satire. An exageration of true teenage attitudes. Why and why do I remember why they make teen movies? Oh yeah for teenagers. You're going to diss movies that weren't made for your age group unless you can relate to that age group in some way. Or grow a brain and realize the satirical humor of the peice. I know teenagers who don't like the movie because of the comercialization and the whole like it because of cute guys and it's popular. Well you know what everyone has a choice.
Oh by the way as you can see I intellegently pointed out my view without swearing. The net has enough cursing on it already. Build a better world. Remember what Joseph Gordon-Levitt's charactor said. "Just because your beautiful doesn't mean you can treat people like they don't matter"
