Okay, chapters 14-18 are finally posted over at www.jerslater.com. The whole damn thing.
A few non-spoilerish points:
1. Yes, I know the last two chapters don't answer every single question. I'm saving my big surprises for the next two novels in the series.
2. If you liked the novel, tell a friend. ESPECIALLY if your friend is an agent. The more people who read and enjoy this novel, the more incentive I have to get off my fat ass and write the second one.
3. When the new forums are posted tomorrow, I'm gonna post a poll with some specific questions I have about points in the story. Answers are appreciated.
4. I got a really cool picture from Princess Jessica the other day that I'll post as soon as I get one or two more pictures. The offer still stands for anybody with artistic aspirations: If you want to contribute art to my shitty little tale, just let me know.
and finally, most importantly...
5. Thank you to everybody who read this stupid little story. Thank you even more to the people who read the story and then told me what they liked about it (or, even better, what they didn't). A few of you folks--you know who you are- -have been sending me some really excellent criticism that will definitely make the novel a lot stronger, and for that I thank you. Everybody else: If you get done reading and you have a couple criticisms, please let me know, either here or at the above email.
But, again, thanks. Your intelligent criticisms (Sorry, Cruel Hand Luke) and some of the nice comments I received really made my day, and made posting all of this online really worth it.
