Stealing is not good for the economy, and it does not create employment. If there was no stealing, and we didn't have to hire security guards, then the prices of consumer products would be lower. So people would have more money to buy more goods and services, and the industries that provided those goods and services would hire the people who otherwise would have been working as security guards. So if there was no stealing, the number of people employed would remain the same, but the standard of living would be higher.
