While I do agree with SOME of your points relating to overexaggeration of consumer waste in America, I'd like to ask you how you feel about toxic waste. Even when not located directly near residential areas, these poisons affect people, not to mention wildlife, for miles around. So much is disposed of improperly and unsafely. So, my question to you is that, as long as goods are bought and enjoyed by people, no matter how frivilous and unnecessary the goods may be, there is justification of the toxic waste created in their production?
Oh, and by the way, you sure as hell can get money for garbage! Small sums are paid for paper and glass, and more is paid for metals, such as aluminum, scrap iron, copper, etc.
