I can see where you are coming from, but I would like to see this film myself before I make any judgements.
And I can also see how you are not knocking old films. I have seen many old films that I think should be burned. And I have seen many that deserve to be called classics.
I also know, after seeing "Jurassic Park" and "The Stand" and reading the books they were based on, that a film based upon a book rarely measures up to that book. The advantage with books is that you can tell what the characters are thinking. Part of me is excited about the upcoming "Lord of the Rings" films, but part of me is a bit wary. Have you read the book "2001"?
