Well, this is response to the so called "flaw" in the movie seven....
When working in a story line such as this, directors, cinematographers, producers, scriptwriters, hell even the boom operator probably checks out the script... The situation that you are posing as the "flaw" in this movie is out of the question. That would be much too big of a screw up to have happen.
Like you were saying... pride, greed, sloth... etc are straight forward...
However if you recall at the end of the movie kevin spacy says that he envy's brad pitt..... well ok, so I guess that would make him envy since that is why he is killed...
Now brad pitts wife was murdered as well, by kevin spacy... so could that make him wrath as well?
I would say no to this, just as you. However that would have to make brad pitt wrath then wouldn't it since he is the one that kills kevin spacy in a rage of anger.
"Well, he doesn't die in the movie?"
So what, the judicial system will have to punish him.... So what is the penalty for committing murder... Oh, that is right... the death penalty. So that must mean that pitt dies.... thus completing spacy's "masterpiece".
It wouldn't really be so clever of him to just have 2 more dead bodies... there must be a twist to it. And that is the twist...
If you remember earlier in the movie, on the way out to the desolate spot where the climax occurs... Spacy said that he should be thanking him, because he was going to make it so that pitt would be remembered. And that is how he did. By getting this cop put on death row for his vengence on his wife's murderer...
So next time think things out a little bit before you go posting comments like this one....
Those who do not make convictions as such are less likely to look foolish in retrospect.
