Yeah, I look back fondly on the eighties, too. There's some denial on my part, since I had more bad things happen in that decade than I have in this one.
I just hope I don't turn into one of those old people who harp on about how ideal and perfect the past was, like the people who rave about the 1950's. They never mention McCarthyism, the Cold War, the lack of civil rights for minorities, and the Korean War.
