Actually, I like music videos from the early '80s. The form was still new and the corporations hadn't yet decided on the formula, so there was still some originality. Sort of like rock & roll in the late '50s and early '60s.
But the '80s were a morally execrable decade. (I wish I could say the '90s have been superior, alas.)
