they include steroid. Reduces the swelling very effectively, but steroids are also imunosupressants (ie you're somewhat more suseptible to ilness). In dogs, long term use can cause Cushings Disease, in cats diabetes; I have no idea what in humans....
The myst probably also has a bronchial dilator; I'm not thinking of any side effects off the top of my head from regular use...
