I thought 28 days later was pretty decent for a horror flick but certainly over-hyped. 28 weeks later takes the original concept to a new level. There was obviously a lot more money put into this film, with a good variety of exterior sets and impressive action sequences. Decent script, top-notch acting, and lots of scary, brutal sequences. I loved the Dawn of the Dead remake too, but this is a better movie. If you're a horror fan you should check this one out while it's still in the theaters.
