I think that you are being way to hard on this movie. It's similar to any Tarantino film and because of the interesting characters it DOESN'T HAVE TO BE REALISTIC. What's wrong with you? Can you not recognize good actors? James Spader did great as the icy hitman who keeps all motivations to himself until the moment that he tries to kill Danny Aiello. Although this film is not great, it's definitely good entertainment and does display in a humorous, but action-packed way the main source of connections between all people in Los Angeles.
