09/30/96: Hipness Overload!

Posted By: Rich Hill

This movie tried oh so hard to be hip. It had a lot of really cool images throughout. The completely mind-fucked art in the collectors house was genuinely cool. The blonde was just an absolute knockout. It had the makings of a pretty cool movie. Thats not to say that it didn't have it's problems. The biggest problem was the no-name brooding scummy-looking vice cop guy. His ranting about a massage parlor in "the valley" (oh GOD), threatening the golfers with his gun, wrapping a birthday present for his kid, and finding out he got fired. Then he was gone. Not another mention in the story. EDITING NOTE: Once you cut a character out of the end of a movie, remember to go back and cut out all of the superfluous character development scenes. PLEASE!!!
