He's ALSO requesting I pay HIS attorney fees!!! What next??? I very well may have to pay spousal support, but she's going to ask that he be given a 'Gaveron' sp? warning, in which I would only pay support for 1 year while the lazy alcoholic makes an attempt to pursue fulltime employment. Mendo... We were married close to 12 years. In that time he NEVER had a full time job. Much of that time I was working 2 jobs. So while I made much more money than him, it wasn't due to a difference in earning potential (we're both nurses) but rather a huge difference in willingness to work. I also have a trust fund that I will have access to next February which he feels he is entitled to. If he's able to get spousal support now, he could get an adjustment next year to account for my increased income which would make my spousal support payments to him about $1500/month. A little background info... he's a little mental. I filed for divorce the day after he got drunk, threatened to kill himself in front of my kids (first brandishing a knife, then razor blades, then the chicken shit finally opted to take a handful of pills that, with his medical knowledge, he knew wouldn't be lethal.)So he was a 5150 for a week and NOW he thinks he has a right to child visitation (restraining order in effect at this time). That's just the tip of the iceberg. I'd tell you more but then I'd catch shit from everyone for putting up with this for as long as I did.
