I think you *gasp* missed the point Shakes was making. If the US government doesn't want to be "free trade" then fine, but don't fucking make the proclamation that you are a "free trade nation" Although really, don't they proclaim that they are everything to anything and everyone? Yup...thought so.
As for the queen...you know what? She is part of my heritage and I am very proud of my heritage. I wouldn't want to be anything other than a proud Canadian and that includes having history and tradition...something that makes us a strong country with deep roots....
