08/22/05: I had this one female friend

who was almost 6 feet tall, Scandinavian blonde, height- weight proportional with a D-sized chest, pretty face and a really bubbly, outgoing personality. She was in her mid- to-late 20s at the time.

I knew her for about 4 years, and she went on like 1 date in all that time.

Now she got hit on ALL THE TIME, but she rejected all of them. She was just incredibly picky. Something was wrong with all of them, not the least of which was "too short." She complained about the lack of "good men" a lot, but she always said she was just happier hanging out with her girlfriends than dating a bunch of bad apples. Don't get me wrong, now -- she was no virgin and had boyfriends before I met her (including before she was 20), but I've known younger women who were as selective and they didn't go on many dates either.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "their fault," but most girls/women who have few dates usually are just being ridiculously selective. Guys are usually doing everything they can to get dates and not being terribly picky about it (but of course, they're often doing everything all wrong). I can't say I've ever rejected a semi-interested female was of whatever legal age was at the time, even if I KNEW that it couldn't possibly work out -- you can't continuously have years between dates and then reject the first possibility that comes along because her parents hate you and she's a psycho devotee of Pat Buchannan... you just got to say suck it in and say "What the hell" and go with it. But those have been far and few between anyway.

On the original subject... some things I learn on this website disturb me.
