Bush holds a 299-239 lead over Kerry in the electoral college based on the recent Zogby poll. Kerry must swing two more states by November. The easiest for him to pick up will probably be Ohio, but in order to win, he'll need to crack Bush's stranglehold on the south. A Kerry- Edwards ticket is virtually guaranteed at this point, but Edwards must deliver North Carolina.

In other news, it's time we just let the south go its own separate way.
