I wonder *what* has made you feel that way...care to enlighten me?
Believe me, I think most of the candidates running since the advent of televised debates (the Nixon-Kennedy debate marked the dawn of heart-throb candidates winning over the viewing public) have become more plasticized and glamourized than ever, but I still feel getting the lesser of the evils into office is absolutely necessary. Who is the last candidate who was truly worthy of the office? People vote for the party, not the individual. If they've become sick enough of the economy or whatever it is that is *personally* affecting themselves, they don't blame it on Congress, they blame it on the President and vote for the other party come election time. Clinton wasn't thrown out of office, but Gore suffered for his idiotic conduct.
