Gore won in handily (12-point margin) in 2000, and it has been Dem. turf for some time. I wonder if Gov. Arnold and Kerry's liberal voting record will alter that?
My guess is: probably not enough to carry the state. But if it was, that would be the end of just about any Democrat's chances.
The 'Industrial Midwest" (Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana) will be more interesting. Especially Ohio. Michigan and Illinois will probably go Dem. And Indiana hasn't gone Dem. since 1964. But, like G'dog says, Ohio is probably this election's Florida.
