08/30/00: Agree and disagree

I think you missed the point of this movie. The dialog *is* stiff, but would a freeflowing dialog have worked here? And would a moody narrative come off as anything other than cliche?

This movie explores the will and motive to kill another human being. What pushes someone to kill another person? For the different characters is takes something different. One does it simply because he can, another for money, another driven by rage, etc. And what would it take to make a normal person a killer? This movie attempts to explore the subtleties of a question that most would like to believe is black and white.

It's not brilliant by any stretch but it is thought provoking. And where do you get lecturing from? All the movie does is lay out the different scenarios and the viewer is left to react. There's no 'thou shalt' in this movie at all.
