Gospel of John is a relatively unknown Canadian flick which was not financed and directed by a big movie star/Academy Award-winning director. It might or might not be a better film then Passion, but it's too obscure to get sell-out crowds in the US, even amoung church-goers.

There is an entire industry devoted to "Christian entertainment" (Christian rock, fictional books such as the "Left Behind" series, direct-to-video films starring people such as Gary Busey and Kirk Cameron, something called "Bibleman" starring one of the kids from "Eight is Enough", videos starring vegtables and jet planes, etc) - what I was wondering in the previous post was wheather the success of Passion of the Christ could pave the way for bigger-budgeted, more "mainstream" religious stuff...
