1. I thought that we had disspelled the PG=death myth this year. I think that the PG rating helped this film a lot.

2. As I said with "King Arthur," Bruckheimer almost never fails with things in his wheelhous, and "National Treasure" certainly is. And whil Nic Cage has struggled in recent years, he's no Clive Owen, ensuring domestic success.

3. "The Da Vinci Code" is huge, and this one echoes that a lot (as well as "POTC" and "Raiders of the Lost Arc").

4. What else (besides "The Incredibles") is out there?

5. It does have kind of a patriotic-vibe about it, which could have helped.
