When Alexander's army refused to go any further at the river Hyphasis in northern India, that is how far they had marched from the year 336 BC to 326 BC. In those 10 years the army stopped many times to lay siege to cities.
No alcoholic could have possibly done that. Makes you wonder how many other things alleged about Alexander are false.
