The french guy who directed Alien4 is a genius when it comes to making films, just check out "Delicatessan" and "The City of Lost Children"... however i will say he is a moron when it comes to business... i mean, c'mon, a fourth sequel in a sci-fi/action series as your American debut?
If Alien4 was a bomb with him directing, imagine what if someone else did it... i mean the visuals were great, the biggest fuck-up was the script... alien hybird my ass!!! i'm not saying it wasn't a bomb, it really did suck, it's amazing the first sequel, Aliens is watchable, but the 3rd was shit, and of course the fourth was, too...
i just had to say this, 'cuz a lot of ppl are slamming the director... yeah, he shouldn't have taken this project in the first place, but he really is one of the most talented directors out there... even if he is French...
