It costed millions of dollars and it falls into the category of 'cheesy b movie'.
Not only did it ignore even simple scientific facts (totally acceptable for a normal sci-fi), but it ruined the entire alien series.
ALL the actors were terrible, and the action scenes were mediocre to say the least. If I could Nuke just one movie this would be it, atleast Plan 9 from outer space had laughability to it.
