Especially this is for the writer of "huh?." This movie is fatuous from start to finish. The axiom you gotta rememember when thinking about '70s rock is that just about everything that was popular--I'm talking about white folks' rock music here--was bad. Elton John, Frampton, BTO, Edgar Winter, Al Stewart, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Foreigner, Springsteen...all really, really bad music. Whereas Sly Stone, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic are all classics. This stupid-ass movie is about all of that crappy white-person rock music, bad drugs, dumb sensitive songsters. The scene where the "band" sings Elton John on the bus makes me laugh. "Tiny Dancer"--hey, how small was she, exactly? Cameron Crowe is a worthless little shit of a writer, and putting Lester Bangs in this movie was a joke. Only people who know nothing about music would ever take one second of this seriously.
