Just to poke my thoughts in here...
Okay, I've accepted the fact that I'm scum. But even scum deserves a chance to argue for its case. :-)
I didn't really want this to be a huge thing-- I just felt like putting up some movie reviews. If Mr. Cranky (yeah, I'm afraid it will have to be someone relatively important)has a problem with it, I won't hesitate to take it down-- I really don't care too much either way.
As for changing the HTML, I have to wonder why you went to all the trouble to looking at the HTML in the first place. If my site disgusts you so much, why do you spend so much time on it looking for immoral things? I suppose it's the same morbid curiosity that makes people scrutinize things like The Enchanted Christmas and that new Brave Little Toaster deal-- something we love has been whipped into a giant pile of minotaur dung, so naturally we're pissed.
But really, what does it matter? I'm just some dork with a web page, who decided to cut a few corners by copying HTML, thinking nobody'd look at it anyway. I don't see why it bothers everybody as much as it does. I could have written it all from scratch, but that seems silly if I'm not serious about what I'm doing! Hey, the graphics alone took enough time. I'm a guy of limited resources, don't make me re-invent the wheel too.
Parodying posts is kinda fun, but it gets a little old-- it's like those guys who think they're some kind of superior mental beings who spend all their time on USENET pointing out the stupid people. What's dumber, a dumb guy who posts annoying things, or a smart guy who points out all the annoying things and saying how annoying they are? It gets kinda predictable after a while, and I'd feel like those Stone & Parker guys trying to think up another way to kill Kenny. It's a joke we all know is coming and can't be too much different every time you tell it. So I'm sticking to reviews.
Regarding the fact that my reviews sound a lot like Cranky's, they do, I'm not denying that. I do, on the other hand, try to make different points, and avoid things like giant penis jokes (they get a little old), but yeah, eerie similarities permeate them. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but they may be morons also. What do I know? I'm just a random dork with a web page!
