04/25/01: I'd like to see Ralph Fiennes play the next Bond

I read somewhere he was considered when they were looking for a replacement for (shudder) Timothy Dalton. He was passed over because Fiennes wanted to be sort of a retro- Bond, taking the character back to the hard-ass type of Bond Connery played.

Jude Law would be a good Bond too.

A black James Bond was also considered when the post-Dalton search began. I forget who was being considered.

Cuba Gooding, jr. would be a terrible choice for Bond. I'd take Roland Gift over him! :)
