I thought the New York Stock Exchange was the last bastion of pure capitalism! That's what Dan Aykroyd said in Trading Places. Now, I wonder why the free market's good enough for all those hot shot investment bankers and commodoties brokers when they're riding high on the hog and millions of people are having to choose between a square meal and their heart medication, but when it's time for J.P. and the gang to get new digs, it's time for the taxpayers to shell out?
Could it be that all those free market proponents are only in favor of it when it works in their favor? My oh my! What's the word I'm looking for? Starts with an "h" as I recall.
