Anaconda was inappropriately named. It should have been called Attack of the Giant Swamp Snake. This is just like those stupid drive in cheap-ass so called horror films of the fifties and sixties that it's pathetic. What kind of producer hears about a giant snake eating people and thinks that it's great entertainment?
Some people are on a ship heading downstream on a Brazilian river to film a documentary. They pick up Jon Voight who is a snakehunter.
The only way the director was able to get anybody to watch this piece of trash was to make everyone look hot, wet, sweaty, and sexy. All the girls are wearing loose fitting tank tops and short shorts. We're obviously not here to see the computer rendored giant snake. It's about as terrorizing as my sister's beanie baby collection.
