That's highly possible. Have you seen the x-file chapter - "Humbug" ? There's a guy there who has the pain signals blocked from his brain.
On the other hand, considering that he's Gaston' best pal and the no. of times Gaston punches him, he's probably just developed a very high pain threshold. If your senses grow accustomed to a certain trigger, the trigger will have to be increased for it to register in the brain. The name of this temporarily escapes me. Lefou is most likely only aware of extreme pain, such as having his derriere set on fire.
