Beast I can understand why you love Beauty And The Beast so much. I loved it too. But I also loved Anastasia. And I don't see why you feel the need to bring it down, just to bring your favorite movie up. I agree with you when you say (In the mr showbiz reader reviews) that Belle and The Beast needed eachother, but so did Dimitri and Anya. You are perfectly right when you say that Belle is not afraid to be intelligent to be loved, but neither is Anya. The difference is in these two characters backrounds. Belle has grown up in on books and is a naturally intelligent, civilized, caring, person. It does the beast alot of good to meet her. For 10 years (and even before that) he has been a hard hearted, bad tempered monster. And when he meets Belle it is a case of 2 complete opposites, untill her warmth and wisdome rub off on him. On the other hand, with Anastasia and Dimitri, their love was destained right from the start, when they were children. The night of the revolution distroys both their lives. Anya grows up in an orphanage, among children, many of them younger then herself. Unlike Belle she did not have books and a loving father to raise her and teach her. The only thing that growing up in an orphanage can teach you, is to be stubborn. Dimitri grew up just the same way, only he lived in the city. They meet up again as adults, and they immedietly have hidden feelings for eachother. (It's almost as if in their hearts, they know they had seen eachother once before, but they are trying not to get to close because falling in love is not in their plans) Unfortunetely they are both equally stubborn, strong willed, and independant, neither one will give in to the other. But the when they dance together, they are forced to give in to eachother, and continue to give in to eachother. Beauty And The Beast was indeed a wonderfull movie, but Anastasia was a wonderfull movie too. I am sure you can find at least 1 positive thing to say about it.
