The only Don Bluth movie I still like now is "Secret of NIMH" because he wrote it FOR ADULTS!!!!!!!! Yes, I liked it as a kid because the animation is as good as the writing, and the way they envisioned the rats of NIMH is astonishing. But the point is, he didn't feel the need to dumb down a plotline containing power struggles and ethical questions about genetic engeneering and animal testing. Think about how much better "Anastasia" COULD HAVE BEEN if Don had eradicated the Rasputin character altogether. He seems to exist only so that the effects animators will have something to do.
