I was very dissappointed and bored with this version of Ana Karenina. 1,000 pages of Tolstoy could be a 2 hour film version with a careful and inspired selection of director and actors. This version was as flat as a can of coke left opened for a month. There was no emotion, we don't feel as viewes the heart pounding when ana leaves her husband. The love scenes are wooden/icy . Could arnold schwarzenegger do better ? I would like to see a russian version, which i'm sure is floating around . Does anyone know where to get it ? I enjoyed the exterior shots and costumes. period. gloria.
