Sorry mate, but this movie doesn't deserve a two-bomb rating... it is totally shithouse, even by animated movie standards!
Really now...
The movie is just about how some unassuming, weird but otherwise funny character called "Zeee" manages, through a series of happy "accidents", cause the Ant Princess to fall in love with him. Ummm yea. That's really how it works, son. Pretend to be a complete loser and Miss USA will find you in a bar and want to go out with you.
That's not all...
The movie rips off quotes from Star Wars and they aren't funny either. What's worse, when you watch those lines being delivered, you realise that the script writers honestly didn't intend for those lines to be funny either! Question: If you didn't intend for those rip-off lines to be funny, why the f*ck did you put them in your movie? Were you so hard up to write the dialogue?
Example:
General Mandible, talking to another ant who is a mere civilian construction supervisor, "I hope so for your sake - Colonel Cutter is not as forgiving as I am"
Real Star Wars line: Darth Vader to Imperial Commander "I hope so for your sake, Commander, The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am"
With this SW quote, you'll notice that Vader is saying to the imperial officer "If you think I am bad, The Emperor (i.e. my master) is even worse"
For some odd reason... General Mandible is saying that one of his subordinates (Colonel Cutter) is a bigger bad arse than him? Does that sound right to you, given that General Mandible is supposedly a megomaniac bent trying to take control of the entire ant colony from The Queen? No, it doesn't make sense. The script writers were f*cking each other instead of thinking about the words. ------ Another Star Wars rip off: General Mandible, talking to Z, "Aren't you a little short for a soldier?"
The real Star Wars quote. Princess Leia to Luke: "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"
Again... the line was deliberately intended not to be funny. That's right. It wasn't funny because they made it that way (i.e. it wasn't like they tried to make it into a joke and it didn't come off - they didn't try in the first place)
Why put the ripped off SW line in there then? Again, we return to our previous conclusion: the script writers were too busy f*cking each other's wives to really bother about the script. ---
There are plenty of entertaining kid's movies (some of them animated, some of them not), but this ain't one of them.
FINAL CONCLUSION
"A steaming pile of mother f*cking sh*t."
Cranks, you are f*cked in the head if you think this is only a two bomb movie. Sorry, love your work, but I gotta call a spade a spade....
