Are you kidding me? Apocalypse Now, perhaps the greatest movie ever made (at least that I've seen), effectively captures the true spirit and horror of war. It shows an American audience, for the first time, a trigger-happy US Army of savages eager to kill anything resembling an Asian person. It shows our government as corrupt and hypocritical and shows the true madness and temptation inherent in war. Whoever deems this movie as anything but a masterpiece needs to go back to VCR repair school and never watch another movie again, you don't deserve to.
