Apocalypse Now is a surreal and brilliant film. You don't even really have to look into the deeper psychological aspects of the film, it's one you can just sit back and enjoy. It's beautifully shot, scripted, acted. I didn't want it to end. If you're going to be cynical and rip apart films like this one and 2001 et al, go ahead, but they are brilliant and beautiful pieces of art, and about fifty times better than anything you'd see in the theatre nowadays.
