besides the top of his head.

I don't think the super-delegates will really be a problem. They're fairly close now anyway, and if one candidate has a substantial popular lead, they'll back that one. To do otherwise would be to slit the party's throat in November.

But the bigger problem is Florida/Michigan. They have to, HAVE TO, decide what to do with those states NOW, not wait and hope. The potential solutions are...

1) Count the states the way they are now (the Clinton solution), despite the fact that Obama wasn't on the Michigan ballot, and that Clinton campaigned in Florida, breaking her promise.

2) Re-hold primaries in the two states.

3) Re-hold caucuses in the two states (the Obama solution). Caucuses seem to favour Obama, due to the passionate nature of his supporters.

4) Throw the bums out - no delegates from either state. This would just hand both states to the Republicans.

The DNC has to make up its mind now. My personal choice is : primary in one state, caucus in the other, and Clinton gets to choose which.

Having this nomination process end up in the courts will be suicide for the party, and it ill fits either candidate.

Anyway, my $0.02.

Mike
