is STILL a better movie than Gladiator.
I watched it again on this Independence day. Yeah, it's heavy-handed all over the place but it has a certin staying power; a resonance, if I may, that Gladiator doesn't.
If you own both DVD's, Gladiator is dead on the shelf.
