03/06/08: The idiocy of X-Man's declaration is truly horrifying.

Let's look at the horrendous "legacy" that is the Bush adminstration:

1) A "90-day" Iraq War that has escalated into 5 years and alienated us from many of our former allies.

2) A resurgent Taliban/Al-Qaeda that has moved from one - Stan country to another...not a measure of success on our part by anymeans.

3) Bin Laden still at large.

4) Virtually all "call center" jobs outsourced to India and yet the companies who do this receive tax breaks from the gub'mint.

5) Walter Reed, once the last bastion of decent medical centers, is apparently a rat-infested dump. Okay this isn't directly Bush's fault, but it happened on his watch and under his administration, along with so much other bullshit.

6) Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld - none of whom were "poor" to begin with - became sickeningly richer by giving no-bid contracts for Iraq weapons manufacture to Haliburton. Neverminding the fact that they SHOULD HAVE opened the bidding up to any interested manufacturing company, add to that the fact that they are all own a gazillion shares of HB stock seriously brings the question of ethics into the fold.

7) The humiliating torture of prisoners at both Abu Gharib and Gitmo. Anything less than a dishonorable discharge and a prison sentence for the US soldiers responsible for this is inexcusable (though they received barely a slap on the wrist)...as was Bush's weeklong delay in issuing a public apology (and again, it's not directly HIS fault yet it happened on his watch). Oh, and a special FUCK YOU to McCain for caving to Bush on the torture issue.

8) The ill-thought public admission that God told him to go to war in Iraq. This holier-than-thou nonsense is exactly the kind of shit that pisses me off about religious zealots. I don't know if God exists or not, but I'm quite certain that if He did, he would've told Dumbya no such thing, except maybe to stop sounding as if he has a mouthful of mashed potatoes when he speaks.

9) Bush-Cheney foreign policy doctrine to NOT EVEN TALK TO our enemies. Real productive, guys.

10) Ill-conceived tax rebates for everyone that are designed to "stimulate the economy" yet will realistically only be used by people to pay bills....all the while our deficit is higher than ever.

Tell me again, X-ie, why Dumbya is better than either Clinton or Obama?
