Too bad you didn't see this Mr. Cranky. You would have found out that John Steed is a wimp. It is the 90s still and women are superior to men in EVERY way. Gee, she kicks his ass at swordsmanship (or is the swordswomanship?). Heck, she can do it as she walks away. She can beat him at chess without ever looking at the chessboard (Steed is, of course studying it carefully). She's witty; well, that's not quite true as the screenplay is really wanting, but in the context of the film, she is! Poor old Steed has gone the way of all men in TV commercials, just a fool with which to be toyed. I know the PG-13 boys will be getting in line to see their hero bested by an average actress in a GREAT cat suit. Please let us notice that smoking cigarettes does occur in this film. Of course the smoker is an old, dumpy man in a wheelchair who has ashes all over his clothes. Wouldn't want to think anybody who smokes has a brain, would we? I'm suprised they didn't make him look like Haystack Calhoun. What a disappointment for someone who likes films that flaunt their politically incorrect attitudes. Too bad it won't make a nickel for those PC Hollywood producers who tried to milk the wrong public tit to get a hit. Har, har.
