Sorry that this has nothing to do with the Avengers, but it is movie-related.
I just found out that New Line studio has agreed to finance the live action adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Ring' trilogy. To be made into three separate films, all filmed at the same time. New Zealand director Peter Jackson (Heavenly Creatures, Dead Alive) will be directing and writing the screenplays. And the movie is supposed to be shot in New Zealand. No word on casting yet. It's still too early. But isn't this great news.
Any Tolkien fans out there?
